    Project
Students learn about the animal eukaryotic cell using an analogy. This project is to supplement your normal teaching about the cell. Great project for students to remember the organelles and structure of the cell. Topics include cell membrane, mitochondria, riosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vacuoles, lysosomes, and the nucleus. Extension topics include, channel proteins, receptor proteins, peroxisomes, and the cytoskeleton.

    Project
Students will do a BLAST and learn about how the mutated protein affects cells, organs, and organ systems and those systems overall impact on homeostasis. The example students will use is sickle cell disorder.

    Project
In this cell cycle project, students learn about the cell division by creating a paper flipbook animation that models interphase, mitosis and cytokinesis. Students draw the phases of the cell cycle on each index card, labeling specific structures in the cell and chromosome numbers. You can easily convert this project into a meiosis flip book.

    Project
Students will create a to create a "Wanted" poster about an organ. Students will research an organ system contains your organ, the organ's main functions, ow does your organ works with other systems to keep the body healthy, which diseases or disorders affects your organ, and can a person live without the organ.

    Project
In this carbon cycle project, students will model how a carbon atom makes a round trip from a person through the atmosphere and ecosystem and end finally back in the same person. This carbon cycle project video covers concepts like photosynthesis, consumption, cellular respiration, carbon reservoirs, and the 10% rule for energy flow.
