    Middle School Project
Students learn about the animal eukaryotic cell using an analogy. This project is to supplement your normal teaching about the cell. Great project for students to remember the organelles and structure of the cell. Topics include cell membrane, mitochondria, riosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vacuoles, lysosomes, and the nucleus. Extension topics include, channel proteins, receptor proteins, peroxisomes, and the cytoskeleton.

    High School Lab
In this short lab, students take a sample of cheek cells from themselves using a toothpick, put a stain on the slide along with the cheek cells, and observe the nucleus and cell membrane under a microscope. Students also answer analysis questions about the procedure and cells.

    Middle School Worksheet
This simple worksheet provides a narrative story about the different parts of a city with underlined words. Students then match the underlined words with the different organelles of a cell.
