The Cytochrome-C Lab Lesson Plan
The amino acid sequences in cytochrome-c are used to compare the degree of relationship between several different animals. Students also use the data to compare to a cladogram of anatomical features for those animals.

Cheek Cell Lab Lesson Plan
In this short lab, students take a sample of cheek cells from themselves using a toothpick, put a stain on the slide along with the cheek cells, and observe the nucleus and cell membrane under a microscope. Students also answer analysis questions about the procedure and cells.
